Virginia Mason Physician Selected for Advisory Panel on Clinical Trials
SEATTLE – (April 1, 2014) — Craig Nichols, MD, co-director of the Virginia Mason Testicular Cancer Program, has been approved by the Board of Governors of the Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute (PCORI) as one of 10 inaugural members of the new PCORI Advisory Panel on Clinical Trials.
Dr. Nichols and other panel members were selected from 231 applicants. They will provide expertise on the design and implementation of randomized controlled trials.

PCORI is an independent, nonprofit organization authorized by Congress in 2010. Its mission is to fund research that will provide patients, their caregivers and clinicians with the evidence-based information needed to make better-informed health care decisions.
