Notice of Construction Work on Spring Street
On Monday, May 9, we will disassemble and remove temporary stairs from the hospital's roof garden on level 7 to the Emergency Department's Spring Street entrance. A crane will be staged on Spring, temporarily closing that portion of the street. A dumpster will be staged on the east side of the Emergency Department (ED) driveway.
The ED will remain open for patient transport. Pedestrian traffic in and out will be routed to the south side of the ED and through the Inn at Virginia Mason. Work will begin at 6 a.m. and be completed by 6 p.m. A Seattle police officer will be on site to direct traffic. Construction teams will be on site to help direct pedestrians.
Farmers Market May 13
We want to take this opportunity to extend an invitation to all our neighbors to stop by the new Virginia Mason Farmers Market, which will be from noon to 4 p.m. every Friday this summer beginning May 13 (weather permitting).
The farmers market will be on the Lindeman Pavilion Patio (just east of 9th Avenue on Seneca Street). It will feature seasonal, organically grown produce; healthy, traditionally prepared foods; and free-range, hormone- and antiobiotic-free meats and eggs. Participating artisans include Bee Haven Honey, Link Lab Artisan Meats, Preston Hill Bakery and Dog Mountain Farm.
We hope to see you there!
