Image: Shelly Fagerlund, VP, Clinic OperationsSEATTLE – (July 9, 2012) — Shelly Fagerlund has been named vice president, Clinic Operations, at Virginia Mason Medical Center, effective Sept. 2. Fagerlund is currently the administrative director of the Clinic Kaizen Promotion Office at Virginia Mason. She joined Virginia Mason in 1997 and has held previous leadership positions in Human Resources, Neurosciences and Ambulatory Services. In her new role, Fagerlund will oversee more than 20 clinical service areas at Virginia Mason Medical Center and its satellite facilities throughout the Puget Sound region.
Prior to joining Virginia Mason, Fagerlund served as human resources manager for Community Health Centers, Inc., Salt Lake City, and in various roles at University of Utah Hospitals and Clinics.
Shelly holds a master's degree in Organization Systems Renewal from Seattle University and a bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management from the University of Utah.
