Virginia Mason Medical Center expects that an agreement will be reached on a transition plan to provide continuous care for patients in the Port Angeles community. The plan would allow for the majority of the Virginia Mason Port Angeles Clinic physicians and staff to stay in the local community, continue to practice and care for existing patients.

“Our primary concern has always been to establish a plan that works and supports the needs of our patients,” said Patti Crome, Senior Vice President and Clinic Administrator. “We understand this achievement will be finalized soon and that a seamless transition of care for patients is imminent.”

In September 2005, Virginia Mason made a commitment to support a clinic transition plan for the Port Angeles clinic. A final plan announcement and specific details will be made as soon as signed agreements are in place.
