Pelvic Floor Center
Did you know that almost half of all women and one in five men will experience urinary incontinence in their lifetime? Many people are ashamed of their condition, or assume this is a natural result of aging or childbirth, and don't seek the help that will restore them to a normal, active life.
Since our inception in 2000, Virginia Mason's Pelvic Floor Center, in Seattle, has successfully treated more than 1,800 surgical patients. The Pelvic Floor Center physicians have researched and launched many of the newer techniques for treating female incontinence which are now in widespread use across the country, and around the world.
Our highly respected physicians, Fred Govier, MD, Kathleen Kobashi, MD, Una Lee, MD, Alvaro Lucioni, MD, and Ksenija Stefanovic, MD, team up with our specialized nurse clinicians to thoroughly assess your condition. After we review your history and conduct a physical exam, we may recommend a session in our state-of-the-art video urodynamic laboratory to pinpoint your problem. Then, drawing from vast research and clinical experience, your doctor will suggest the best solution to fit your needs and lifestyle.
