Virginia Mason Opening Its New Bellevue Medical Center on July 27
BELLEVUE – (July 14, 2020) — The new Virginia Mason Bellevue Medical Center will open Monday, July 27, in the Wilburton Village retail development, featuring an array of primary and specialty care services and outpatient surgical procedures in a conveniently located, modern facility that includes plenty of free parking.
At 45,000 square feet, the medical facility at 11695 N.E. 4th St., includes 32 exam rooms; an outpatient surgery center with three operating suites and two procedure rooms; and more than 180 parking stalls for patients. Also, there will be extended weekday and Saturday hours. Virtual care video visits will be available, in addition to in-person appointments.
“While we will be relocating to a new and larger location in Bellevue, the one thing not changing is our team’s commitment to excellence that our patients know so well,” said Shelly Powell, vice president, Patient Care Services.
Medical services will include asthma and allergy care, behavioral health, cardiology, concierge medicine, dermatology, gastroenterology, gynecology, mammography, nephrology, neurology, non-surgical orthopedics, otolaryngology (ear, nose and throat), pediatrics, physical medicine and rehabilitation, physical therapy, podiatry, primary care, radiological services, sleep evaluation and treatment, ultrasound and urology.
Surgery center services will include breast; colorectal; general; orthopedic; otolaryngology (ear, nose and throat); and vascular surgeries, as well as gastroenterological, urologic, and interventional pain procedures.
Planning for the new Bellevue Medical Center began in 2018. The facility was designed by ZGF Architects, with many ideas and suggestions offered by Virginia Mason care team members and patients.
Until the new facility opens, Virginia Mason providers continue to see patients at the current clinic location, 222 112th Ave. N.E.
Next month, Virginia Mason is set to open a new birth center and special care nursery at the medical center’s main campus in the First Hill neighborhood of Seattle, in partnership with Tacoma-based CHI Franciscan. The opening of the new Bellevue Medical Center and the hospital’s birth center come as Virginia Mason, founded in 1920, is commemorating its 100th anniversary.
