The doctors discussion with me was pertinent to my diagnosis. My questions were answered clearly.

Knowledgeable. Referring resident when we specifically said we did not want one. Always in a hurry -

Dr. Nancy Isenberg is the absolute worst. She was rude and incredibly unprofessional. She only gave us 5 minutes for the appointment. Don't be fooled by the long survey and asking for info from your family doctor one day before the appointment. No, she didn't do her homework at all. Even worse, she brushed us off, she did not give any useful information about the illness. 'No medical comment, so no risk of wrongful diagnosis' type of doctor. She did not give any input. I wouldn't even hire her as a cleaner. Waiting 2 months for her appointment is a complete waste of my time, and 2 months of our precious time was wasted because of her.

There is only one neurologist on the island, so I don't have much choice. My appointment took 5-6 months to get, my original appointment was cancelled by Dr. Isenberg, and she was extremely rushed during our appointment. She failed to follow up with me after our appointment regarding the next steps she identified, and I haven't been able to get a response from her by online communication.

Dr Isenberg has been an absolutely great doctor for me. I attribute my good health at my age to her thoroughness and ability to explain things to me.

ignores questions. ignores symptoms. lets her personal feelings towards me get in the way of me obtaining care. fixated on my diet and refuses to explore other possibilities despite test results being consistent with my concerns and not hers. negligent.

I am hoping to see a written follow-up and evaluation from Dr. Isenberg for my husband's appointment.

Nancy seems very knowledgeable, and was kind to my mother. She also seemed very rushed and didn't seem to appreciate our concern for my mother/wife. When Nancy called to explain the results of my mother's MRI, which were not great and were the first confirmed medical report that my mom has dementia, she was very short and rushed. I was taken aback by the report, and sad, and filled with emotion. I had a ton of questions and wanted to some guidance and suggestions for next steps. Nancy told me she couldn't talk because she a patient waiting. I hung up with more questions than answers. To her credit she emailed my contact info to a social worker who contacted me, and that felt good. But I also had technical questions that I wanted to ask the doctor.

I have seen a number of doctors at VM and hands down Dr. Eisenberg is in a league of her own. She was fabulous with me and with my mother (two very different personalities so that is a testament) and she brought a creative problem solving yet caring attitude to the whole visit. I continue to be incredibly impressed by her. She is a gem. I hope she is treasured there.
