I was very impressed with Karen. She answered my questions and gave me her full attention. She explained her reasoning regarding the diagnosis. I was very happy to hear her talk about making medical decisions based on evidence. Another plus - no mention of any "alternative" medicine.

This person made it clear she likes to hear herself talk far more than she wants to listen to what the patient has to say. Her MA is friendly and kind and conveys caringness, but the ARNP was a cold fish. I would have to describe her as "not present." And it´s a good thing I´m a very educated person and not afraid to say, "spell that," or "let´s go back to," because she was simply going for the finish line.

Gives the impression she really wants to help you and explains all your options in great detail. She leaves the decision up to you but if you want to hold off on a course of action she is okay with that which I like.

I feel very confident that joining this clinic to support my R/A Gout treatment was the right decision.

Karen really seems to know her business.
May 2018
My initial visit involved labs and exrays, so the questions about what it all means will come with my next visit. I am completely confident my provider will explain in common language what I need to know!

I really like Dr. Huisinga. She listens to me and responds to all of my concerns. She does not rush through my appointment. She explains my tests results and discuss alternate treatment options with me.

Very happy.

Karen really takes time and listens. We thought the most recent meds would work, but blood tests showed otherwise. She cares for my all around health, not just the sjogrens. I know of others with this disease who do not receive this quality of care from other providers.

Karen is awesome and to send me a secure message to let me know what the test revealed just put me in awe! She started me on a medication to see how I do before we talk about different medications to help me. I have been in less so much less pain since the start of the prednisone that I want to get out and do more things! i wish she could be my primary care doctor because she listens to me!
