Health Alliance Releases Community Checkup
On Jan. 31, the Puget Sound Health Alliance (PSHA) released its first community checkup that compares the quality of care provided by local ambulatory care clinics. In particular, this report measures processes of care provided to patients with diabetes, heart disease, back pain and depression. The measures also cover aspects of prevention and the use of pharmaceuticals.
Virginia Mason is one of 14 Western Washington health care organizations that volunteered to have its results included in PSHA's checkup. Click here for an internal performance comparison and a link to the full report.
