he has no personality. very sarcastic seems bored with is job
Dr Esparza has been efficient in use of time with me and concise in explanations of procedures.
Very skilled, I had no problems with wound after care.
Dr. Esparza has helped me avoid cancer many times by spotting and treating precancerous areas and also at least two more serious spots one of which required Mohs surgery.
Dr. Esparza has a nice demeanor...he inspires confidence. He provides a broad picture and then narrows the possibilities with a balance of what an outcome may be. I asked him to describe what he was doing during the biopsy and he did so.
Fabulous doctor. The best dermatologist I´ve ever had.
Dr. Esparza is excellent. I trust him completely.
no problems; all went very well
Dr Esparza is great. Seems very efficient and explains the situation and procedures well.
Dr. Esparza was terrific at explaining the procedure and letting me know what he was doing all through it. He even looked at a spot on my leg when I didn´t have an appt to do so..
Dr. Esparza is a caring, friendly doctor who communicates really well about what´s going on. He´s honest about how effective the medication will be, and about how long to expect for things to improve. I hope that he will continue on at VM for many years to come. Past dermotologists I have gone to at VM seem to leave after just a couple of years.
I am very happy with the care I received.
He keeps his appt short and with minimal conversation. He is not as interactive and personable as some other doctors.
He is always very good on all of the above.
I believe Dr. Esparza to be very competent and his diagnostic evaluation included several different possibilities. He explained each one and why he came to those conclusions. My skin condition is getting better after only 3 days of his prescribed treatment. Something that had not happened with previous providers.
Dr E is outstanding
Dr Esparza is great.
I will not return to Esparza - Lack of bedside manner, not personable. Felt like a wham bam thank you visit. Hurry up and got to next patient. Not happy with this visit!
I am very happy and impressed.
Dr Esparza was the first doctor in a year to be able to diagnose my issues and I´ve been 5 doctors. he was the first to do a biopsy. Within 3 weeks of my first visit I was finally healing and able to have close to normal skin.
Drs. Kay, Sato and Esparza are fantastic. I couldn´t be more satisfied with the care they provide.
the Dr. is a very kind, thorough man who doesn´t seem in a hurry. I hope you can keep him since you do see a lot of turnover in this specialty.
My take on Dr. Esparza is that he is very literal and black and white. He likes the study of medicine and having patients is unfortunately necessary to further his work. That sounds harsh but I don´t know how to say it differently. I can say that I think he tries to be friendly.
Very nice doctor
Very good experience
Very pleased with Dr. Esparza´s care. His skill, knowledge and care are top notch, truly a great asset to the clinic.
quick and thorough
He was very complete and diligent with his time with me.
I saw him regarding a facial rash I´ve had for months. I´ve seen another dermatologist about it with no results or answers. He was referred to me. He sat in the chair, looked bored as I explained the situation, and never looked closely at the rash. I brought products I use and a little discussion took place. Maybe it is this simple, but this rash has been on my face...not my neck or anywhere else...for months. Disappointing, but maybe that´s all he could do.
I love Dr. Esparza. But I do like to know specifically what my diagnoses are and I felt like I had to tease that out a bit. In fact, I appreciate a discharge sheet from every doctor´s visit that includes such info.
already have recommended Dr. Esparza to others several times
It was a routine dermatology checkup but given my history of skin cancer, Dr. Esparza seemed to be very thorough and answered all of my questions.
He helped me with my allapecia which as a female is hard when you have a significant hair loss. I am still on cortizon shots but some hair shows growth
Fabulous doctor! Very caring and attendtive to my needs!!
needing a new VM dermatologist, so first visit with Dr. Esparza and found him courteous and very helpful.
The doctor did not shake my hand when he greeted me. However, he was very courteous and informational. He did not tell me to call back but did provide alternative treatment options.
I would have liked more info about the answers to some of my questions.
Very pleasant and explained a procedure very thoroughly.
Provider seemed to do minimum, relying only on my personal observations about my continuing issues with skin cancer. A seemingly kind and quiet individual. I always have the feeling that it is an effort to check me over or make it easy to discuss my concerns. No followup on previous issues.
Dr. Esparza is very good.
He didn´t have anything to say about sun damage protection & didn´t ask if I wear sunscreen, hats etc. I don´t feel very connected to this dr. at all.
Dr. Esparza is excellent, happy to have him.
Dr. Esparza is thorough and clear and concerned. He reassured me about two spots i was worried about, froze several that he was worried about, and noticed and prescribed for a rash I hadn´t been able to see but was itchy. it´s getting better.
I was not confortable, it required more explanation of my problem. He just look from the distance.
Dr. Esparza is top drawer.
Smooth throughout all of the visit.
I needed follow up for wound healing problems which developed after dermatological procedures performed by a solo private practice dermatologist, who went off to Japan for a week with no prior patient notification, no notification on her office phone greeting or office door and no arrangements for MD back up. I could have developed serious wound healing complications, if I had not received prompt treatment from Dr. Esparza.
Difficult to judge all of the above in one visit, and/or until determined if course of action recommended is effective.
He was very quick did not spend time at all. Was in & out of office within 10-15 minutes _____.
I had to "pry" information. Seemed disinterested during visit.
He was wonderful, just too rushed.
Immediate correct diagnosis! Two previous providers missed.
I do not recommend anything to anybody, so I left that blank. No summary of what the provider told me was given to me, so I had to call back in order to confirm the areas of my body which were going to be given further treatment by a different department. It would have been helpful if there was a booklet showing photos of the effects on my body of my upcoming photodynamic therapy treatment.
