Construction Begins on Connection from Main Hospital to Addition

  • Construction on the connection from the main hospital to the new hospital building will begin Wednesday, Aug. 5.

  • The construction work will impact traffic at the Seneca Street drop-off zone, but vehicle access will be maintained. Revisions will be made and appropriately signed to the entrance and exit points from Seneca. Pedestrian traffic from Lindeman Pavilion to the hospital will be re-routed to the east side of Terry Avenue, and pedestrians will need to use the east crosswalk across Seneca.

  • Initial work will involve landscape removal from the island area of the drive-through, temporary removal of the pylon sign, and removal of a tree that is against the main wing wall. Preparations will be made in the island area for construction of a temporary fuel tank enclosure, which will remain until the hospital addition is completed. At that time, the fuel tank enclosure will be removed and the area restored to its current condition. Existing signage from the pylon will be installed on the new enclosure structure to be built.

Thank you for your patience throughout the construction period. We apologize for the inconvenience these activities may cause. As updated information becomes available, we will share it with you.
