Weekend Parking Update

  • Parking on the north side of Seneca Street in front of the John Winthrop will now be permitted on weekend days. As of Friday, Oct. 10, the "No Parking" zone is only during construction hours, 6 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Site Foundation Work Continues

  • Intermittent concrete pours will continue on Seneca and Boren Avenue throughout the week. Concrete trucks will begin pouring at 8 a.m. on Seneca and 9 a.m. on Boren. Seneca and Boren will be limited to one lane in each direction during the construction pours. Parking on the south side of Seneca also will be unavailable temporarily.

  • Steel deliveries for the foundation continue this week on Seneca and Spring Street. This work requires temporary parking restrictions on the north and south side of Seneca (6 a.m. to 6 p.m. north side; 24 hours south side).

  • As work around the foundation evolves, our activities over the next few weeks will continue to focus on pouring footings, columns and walls, laying rebar, and installing piping and conduits.

  • From time to time, residents may hear an "air horn" from the site. The reason for the safety alert is to let workers in the construction hole know that a heavy load is about to be lifted across the site.

No Weekend Work Planned Saturday, Oct. 11, or Sunday, Oct. 12

Sidewalk, Lane and Parking Space Closures

  • Spring Street — Spring and its north sidewalk between Boren and Terry avenues will be closed 24 hours a day. The south sidewalk will be open to pedestrians throughout the week. If additional work is required in the alley, a wooden pedestrian footbridge will be installed.

  • Boren Avenue — The westward southbound lane on Boren between Seneca and Spring will be closed during normal construction hours and open after construction hours. The sidewalk will be closed 24 hours a day.

  • Seneca Street — For the time being, the south sidewalk on Seneca between Boren and Terry will be closed. The north sidewalk will be open.

  • Parking Spaces — The four parking stalls west of Boren on only the south side of Seneca will continue to be closed to parking.
