Community Bulletin: Roofing Work This Weekend at Inn at Virginia Mason
Crane to Be in Virginia Mason's Old Emergency Department Driveway
This weekend, work will be conducted on the roof of the ninth level of the Inn at Virginia Mason. This will entail having a crane on site in Virginia Mason's old Emergency Department (ED) driveway Saturday, Nov. 5, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. As a result, the sidewalk in front of the old ED driveway will be closed, directing pedestrians to cross the street at Terry Avenue and Spring Street.
This work has been planned and we have been awaiting the availability of the old ED driveway and cooperative weather. The crane will be on site Saturday only, with minor detail finishing work on the Inn's roof occurring Sunday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Reminder: Tree Removal in Front of Inn Set for Sunday
The City of Seattle's arborist has approved removal of two damaged trees on Spring Street in front of the Inn at Virginia Mason. This work is scheduled for Sunday, Nov. 6. The trees that are being removed will be replaced with the same type of tree (Marshall Green Ash) that was recently installed on the Spring side of the Floyd & Delores Jones Pavilion.
