Sidewalk Closure on North Side of Spring Street

As part of Virginia Mason Medical Center's internal build out of the Floyd & Delores Jones Pavilion, equipment and materials will be delivered via an exhaust shaft located on Spring Street, near the corner of Boren Avenue. As a safety precaution, 25 feet of sidewalk will be closed on the north side of Spring from now through April 2012. Fencing has been erected in the closed area of the sidewalk, and pedestrians are asked to use the sidewalk on the south side of Spring.

In addition, beginning Monday, Oct. 10, through next April, the load-in area on the north side of Spring, adjacent to the sidewalk closure, will be closed Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. A section on the south side of Spring, next to the Chasselton Apartments, will also be closed from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Jones Pavilion Grand Opening Oct. 22

As we communicated last week, Virginia Mason will celebrate the grand opening of Jones Pavilion with a formal ribbon cutting ceremony at the entry to the new Emergency Department Saturday, Oct. 22, at 11 a.m. You and all our neighbors are invited to come by and participate in the festivities, including a look inside the new Emergency Department.

On behalf of the entire Virginia Mason team, thank you for your patience throughout the building of Jones Pavilion. We apologize for the inconveniences we may have caused along the way, and will continue to keep you informed of new developments and timelines.
