UPDATES: Grand Opening Event, Oct. 22 at New Emergency Department, Located at Spring and Boren
As you may be aware, on Saturday, Oct. 22, Virginia Mason Medical Center will celebrate the grand opening of the Floyd & Delores Jones Pavilion with a formal ribbon-cutting ceremony at the entry to the new Emergency Department. You and all our neighbors are invited to come by and participate in the festivities, including a look inside the new Emergency Department.
In a previous bulletin, we alerted you to upcoming street closures and a tent that would be set up for the event. Since that time, we've decided to hold the event inside the entry way of the new Emergency Department. This means we won't be putting up a tent, and all streets surrounding Virginia Mason Medical Center will remain open as usual.
We hope you'll find some time to come by for a tour of the facility during the event festivities, which run from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 22. Following the event, we'll then spend the remaining week of October making final preparations for occupancy, and will begin seeing patients in the new space on Wednesday, Nov. 2.
On behalf of the entire Virginia Mason team, thank you for your patience throughout the building of Jones Pavilion. We apologize for the inconveniences we may have caused along the way, and will continue to keep you informed of new developments and timelines.
