On Tuesday, Nov. 29, Ninth Avenue between Seneca and University streets will be closed from 5 to 11 a.m. as work on the roof of Benaroya Research Institute at Virginia Mason (BRI) is completed.

As a safety precaution, the street needs to be closed to vehicle and pedestrian traffic for placement of a crane that will be used to hoist a new generator to the roof of BRI. Signs will be posted a minimum of 48 hours in advance, and any vehicles parked in this area will be towed if they are not removed prior to the closure. Pedestrian access via the Pigott Corridor stairway to Freeway Park will be available.

We anticipate this will be the last time the road will need to be closed for this work, and we apologize for the inconvenience this work has caused recently.
