As always, Dr. Deschenes was open, friendly and extremely competent. He identified tracheal stenosis issues; Coordinated with Dr. Chang and I was able to see her the next day. Impressive service for all staff members in otolaryngology.
Dr. Deschanes was clearly very knowledgable, especially about a common/low-grade condition like mine. He seemed rushed, and asked no questions about my symptoms and proceeded to give me two options; Surgery, or sleep apnea testing. I didn´t really get a chance to ask more clarifying questions to help inform my decision, which bothers me and makes me want to get some extra help. But the experience did make me feel a bit degraded and makes my doubt making another appointment if I know I will be treated the same way, with a sort of dismissiveness. All in all, I am confident that the doctor gave me the two most logical options, but just a little more time fielding questions with me to help inform my decision would have been appreciated!
Took my concerns seriously and accommodated my flight schedule to make unanticipated follow-up tests happen ASAP MUCH APPRECIATED!
has neck pains and at no point touched my neck. had physical pain on the neck, ,called it hupertension without and concern or follow up sent me away. he ruined my experience with this hospital
I had gone in for questions about my nose but he focused on my sinuses (another issue). I take some responsibility in not being more direct & explaining my expectations but I tried twice & left feeling I hadn´t been heard. He handled my sinus issues well.
My 6 yr old has been seeing Dr. Deschenes for a while now. He always is happy to be there. He is so great at making my son feel comfortable. He spends time talking to my son and is never in a rush. We have loved working with him.
I felt a little dismissed or like Dr. Deschenes was peeved I was seeking a second opinion about meniere´s. Or like i was wasting his time, perhaps? He did take the time to explain other options and why I was a long ways away from needing any other treatments. I know Meniere´s is an elusive disorder with few treatments but a little more empathy or understanding would have gone a long way.
The Dr has been good every time I have been to see him.
Pleasant bedside manner....to quote a phrase!
Very friendly and personable. I like this specialist and his manner very much. Sometimes the specialists are do not seem to have good people skills for office appointments.
Dr.Deschenes has an excellent sense of humor - I bet he has a great bedside manner.
Dr. Deschenes was awesome at listening to my reason for visiting, explaining what the steps he was going to take were, answering questions I had and giving me a level of confidence of the ´next steps´ were solid ones.
Had never met this doctor before but he was excellent.
my condition is improving as the doctor expected. this was a second opinion that resulted in a different diagnosis from the first opinion.
