Stroke Support Group

Virginia Mason offers a free Stroke Support Group every month for stroke survivors, their families and caregivers. These sessions are held in a relaxed and caring environment among a supportive group of individuals and professionals who understand the stroke recovery journey.

You will be able to share your story, ask questions, and hear how others are managing their own challenges and celebrating their achievements.

During our group time, we have a variety of speakers, such as physical and occupational therapists, speech therapists, physicians and authors, to offer tips and tools for managing daily activities. Topics have included acupuncture, yoga, relaxation, humor, transportation and returning to driving.

Meets second Wednesday of each month at 11:30 a.m. – 1 p.m.

  • Location: Horizon House, 900 University Street, Seattle, WA 98101, Sky Lounge Room, Floor 19 (Horizon House is just across the street from Virginia Mason’s
    Health Resource Building)
  • Cost: Free. Registration is not necessary.

Light refreshments will be made available. You are welcome to bring your own lunch!
