He, and his team, came highly recommended by a friend of mine.
Callahan is well known amongst my colleagues--seems we all know him
I have told everyone back here in the east about VM and how good you all took care of me and the best Medical Service I have had in a long time.
I appreciated having x-rays before meeting with him; that was an efficient use of his time and mine.
Dr. Callahan was excellent. His explanations were lucid and inspired confidence in his knowledge and judgment.
Dr. Callahan had done research on my file prior to my arrival for a residual issue I was having. He walked me through MRI and x-ray images and provided explanations for everything. Together, we made a recovery plan that was clear and manageable. Excellent dr.!
Dr. Callahan is a very adept and knowledgeable dr. I feel very grateful to have his help and expertise.
spent a good amount of timing describing my options and what that might mean. surgery vs. rehab
Dr. Callahan was able to help ease the pain - which was actually in my upper back/ ______ area. Very painful, and despite not being a shoulder issue!
Dr Callahan isterrfic at listening, evaluating, and working with me on a treatment plan.
Thank you for the referral to a foot sports med provider
Excellent. I went in thinking my condition was chronic and he figured out what was really wrong and provided a shot that fixed the problem.
I appreciate how Dr. Callahan was able to spend plenty of time with me to diagnose and explain my shoulder injury.
Great bedside manner. Gave me the good news first with lots of enthusiasm.
Someone brief explanation but understandable.
Physician was easy to talk to and helpful with explaining the diagnosis. Described the PT that I could do on my own.
I am extremely happy with all levels of care and service at Virginia Mason. I would recommend Dr. Callahan to anyone in need of sports related care, and everyone at VM was just great.
Dr. Callahan was amazing! He seemed genuinely caring, helpful, and was clearly knowledgeable. I felt confident in the advice he gave me and comforted by the knowledge that I have a medical provider I can fully trust. Immediately after my visit, I sent a text message to my husband and other family members letting them know how pleased I was with my visit. I´ve already recommended him to friends and family members!
Dr. Callahan and I had some communications issues in earlier appointments. We now have a great working relationship.
Dr. Callahan is excellent in all respects. I have a clear plan of action for my knee problem.
Dr. Callahan has been paramount in my recovery, he´s the best!
My health concern was a new problem for me and I was not knowledgeable in this area of medicine. It seems like Dr Callahan is competent in what he does and gave me a diagnosis. But it needs to be evaluated by another department if treatment he recommended does not work. Dr kept referring to another department as "them", and talked about they do this and they do that. After the visit, I felt maybe I should have seen them? Dr Callahan was nice and glad he gave me a diagnosis but he made the treatment he recommended sound like hard challenge.
Dr. Callahan´s advice was respectful and relevant.
Wonderful visit Thank you
Excellent doctor !
Dr. Callahan is great, I have never experienced any issues with him.
I contacted him twice with questions regarding my condition through the portal and he responded very quickly. I appreciated that took my plans into consideration and was with me on my quest to avoid surgery.

"As a primary care sports medicine specialist and family physician, I am able to evaluate and treat musculoskeletal injury and exercise related illness taking the whole patient into consideration.
