Personal Information
A native Southwesterner, Dr. Abrams grew up in Albuquerque, New Mexico, but has enjoyed traveling throughout the country for school and medical training. She attended college in Georgia, then continued north to Pennsylvania, Vermont, and Maine. The Pacific Northwest has been the best combination of all of those places and will hopefully continue to be home for many generations. She and her husband have three children, including twins! On weekends, they can be found walking the dogs, playing soccer, or just enjoying their hometown of Bainbridge Island.

On Patients
“I am inspired on a daily basis by the patients who I see. During my career, I have been blessed to meet some of the most amazing individuals- people who have histories beyond that of the diagnoses that they now face. There is a unique relationship that develops between an Oncologist and patient. A new diagnosis, whether it is of cancer or of an abnormal blood value, can be a confusing and vulnerable time for a patient as well as his/her family. We work together to navigate the situation, utilizing compassion, education, science, and dignity. It truly becomes a partnership.”
