The Transitional Year program is designed for individuals with an interest in:

  • Anesthesiology
  • Dermatology
  • Psychiatry
  • Neurology
  • Physical medicine and rehabilitation
  • Ophthalmology
  • Orthopedic surgery
  • Radiation oncology
  • Residents who will go into the armed services
  • Residents who would like a solid clinical base year prior to their chosen specialty

The flexibility of the one-year experience is well suited to all these careers and, after completion, the individual can proceed directly to the appropriate residency program.
