Fractional Co2 Laser Resurfacing

Beautiful Skinned Woman Smiling

The natural aging process, combined with exposure to sun and pollution, destroys collagen, which is the main protein of connective tissue that keeps skin healthy and line-free.

Fractional Co2 laser resurfacing is a technique where laser energy is used to enhance the body's natural collagen production in the treatment of fine lines, wrinkles, age spots (dyschromia), scars from acne or trauma and other skin conditions.

The procedure does this in a way that minimizes damage to the top layer of skin, offering maximum results with minimal recovery time. It is done in one or two sessions with four to seven days of downtime. Effects are thought to last eight to 10 years.

Sedation Options

Many facial plastic surgical procedures can be performed under local anesthesia (patient is awake). Some patients, however, may prefer sedation (patient is sleepy but still able to be aroused) or general anesthesia (patient is fully asleep) depending on the procedure(s). Sedation level depends on the patient’s preference and the physician's recommendation.
