At the Listen for Life Center, our audiologists provide comprehensive hearing evaluations and take the time to understand each person's needs and goals before recommending a specific type of hearing aid.

During your evaluation, your audiologist will discuss:

  • Communication problems you are experiencing
  • Styles of hearing aids available
  • Technology options that may be appropriate for you

Hearing Aid Fitting and Follow-up

Once you have received your hearing aids, your audiologist will adjust the devices and teach you how to use and take care of them.

Follow-up appointments are scheduled to make sure your hearing aids are working properly and to see if any adjustments or modifications are necessary. Devices may be returned for a full refund during a 30-day trial period.

Dispensary Locations and Insurance

Hearing aid dispensaries are at three Virginia Mason locations: Downtown Seattle, Federal Way and Issaquah.

If you need to order new hearing aid batteries, call us at (206) 223-8802.

Medicare and Medicare supplements do not cover hearing aid costs. If you need assistance in determining whether your insurance covers hearing aids, please call (206) 223-8802.

If you do not have an insurance benefit for hearing aids, a minimum payment of 50 percent is required at the time your hearing aids are dispensed. A plan for the remainder of the balance can be arranged by calling (206) 223-6601.
