Bioness H200 device

Virginia Mason's Neurological Rehabilitation Program is one of a few select sites in the Pacific Northwest to use a technology called Bioness H200, an innovation in care for patients who have suffered from a stroke. Bioness H200 is a non-invasive splint worn on the forearm and hand. The device, equipped with integrated electrodes, stimulates the muscles, facilitating functional movement of the hand and enabling patients to perform tasks they were previously unable to do.

In addition to individuals recovering from a stroke, others that may benefit from this technology include people with:

  • Traumatic brain injury
  • Certain levels of quadriplegia
  • Tetraplegia
  • Brain lesions
