Take your usual medication (s) with clear liquid (apple juice or water) the morning of your operation.

• Heart and blood pressure pills. These medications are especially important to take on the day of your surgery.
• Anti-seizure Pills. Your anti-seizure medication should be taken as usual.

Exceptions

• Blood thinners or aspirin. If your surgeon has not given you instructions about your blood thinner or aspirin, please call his or her office.
• Do not take your oral diabetic medications or insulin on the morning of surgery.
