Know Your Numbers for Heart Health!

I was born with my aorta on the right side of my heart instead of the left (where it normally is.) That’s why I’ve always been passionate about heart health. So take it from me, the first step to a healthier heart is to know your numbers and talk with your doctor.

  • Your Blood Sugar (HbA1c) should be less than 6 percent if you’re pre-diabetic and less than 7 percent if you have diabetes.
  • Your Blood Pressure should be less than 120 over 80.
  • A Body Mass Index of 18 to 25 is considered healthy.
  • When it comes to Cholesterol, talk to your health-care provider about your numbers and how they impact your risk.
