• Anticoagulation Clinic
  The Anticoagulation Clinic is a service provided to all patients at Virginia Mason taking oral anticoagulants (warfarin). For some patients on blood thinners, Virginia Mason also offers WATCHMAN and other alternative anticoagulation treatments.
   
• Arrhythmia/Heart Rhythm Care
  Heart rhythm care is provided by our electrophysiology team. They treat individuals with heart palpitations, fainting spells and established heart rhythm disturbances. In addition, sophisticated device therapies including pacemakers, defibrillators and rhythm catheter ablation are provided and monitored.
     
• Cardiac Diagnostic Testing
  Diagnostic tests help confirm the presence of cardiovascular diseases, the type of disease, the severity and what treatments will be most effective. Testing can range from the echocardiograms and stress testing to more complex technologies, including vascular imaging.
   
• Cardiac Rehabilitation
  The cardiac rehabilitation program at Virginia Mason helps patients recover faster and return to full and productive lives after a heart attack, heart surgery, coronary angioplasty, angina or a related health problem.
   
  
  • Pritikin Program at Virginia Mason: An intensive cardiac rehabilitation program to help patients prevent future heart problems and lead longer, happier lives.
     
• Cardiology
  Virginia Mason's heart doctors provide comprehensive heart care by diagnosing and treating diseases and disorders of the heart and vascular system.
   
• Electrophysiology Services
  The Virginia Mason Heart Institute offers comprehensive assessment and treatment of the full spectrum of cardiac rhythm disorders.
   

• Heart Failure Clinic
  The Heart Failure Clinic provides complete diagnostic testing, treatment, and regular follow-up appointments for the treatment of heart failure to improve quality of life and length of life for patients afflicted with heart failure.
   
• Heart Surgery
  The cardiac and thoracic surgery team seeks to alleviate symptoms and prolong life through various surgical services.
    
• Preventive Cardiology
  The goal of this clinic is to help individuals understand cardiovascular disease, and engage them in risk factor modification and healthy lifestyle management through education, guidance, goal setting and positive reinforcement.
   
• Valve Center
  The Valve Center is comprised of a multi-disciplinary team focused on the diagnosis and treatment of valvular heart disease. Patients are evaluated and offered treatment plans that offer the best outcome for their condition. Options such as minimally-invasive techniques called TAVR (transcatheter aortic valve replacement) offered in our new state of the art hybrid OR, medical management to surgical interventions.
   
• Women and Heart Disease
  The Heart Institute's Sara Weiss, MD, Susie Woo, MD, and Elizabeth Gold, MD, have a particular interest in evaluating and counseling women who have heart disease or desire a risk evaluation for heart disease.
