Lymphedema is a serious complication for many cancer survivors. It causes swelling, usually in an arm or leg and sometimes in the nearby trunk quadrant.

Anyone who has undergone lymph node dissection and/or radiation in the axillary, groin or neck region is at risk to develop lymphedema.

Virginia Mason provides specialized therapy that helps to treat lymphedema in the arms. For more information about lymphedema management for the arms, please call (206) 223-6746.
