Symptoms of Endometriosis

Symptoms can range from no symptoms at all to excruciating abdominal pain. Symptoms also will depend on where the displaced endometrial tissue is located in the pelvic cavity. Pain and other symptoms commonly go away with menopause when production of estrogen is greatly reduced and the body ceases to menstruate.

The most common symptoms include:

  • Abdominal pain, especially during menstruation
  • Pain during sexual intercourse
  • Pain during bowel movements
  • Headache/migraines
  • Backache
  • Diarrhea
  • Constipation
  • Infertility
  • Miscarriage
