Sleep Disorders Center

The Sleep Disorders Center at Virginia Mason is a multi-disciplinary specialty clinic that provides diagnosis and treatment for people of all ages experiencing problems with poor sleep. We take a comprehensive approach to treating all sleep problems, including snoring, sleep apnea, insomnia, restless legs, narcolepsy, fatigue, excessive daytime sleepiness, nocturnal seizures, sleep behaviors such as sleep walking and adjustment to shift work.

Poor sleep can impact other medical conditions such as metabolic disorders, mood and anxiety disorders, cardiovascular disease and pain. Our team is experienced in understanding and handling even the most complex clinical situations.

Sleep medicine services are provided in the Hospital & Seattle Medical Center, as well as medical centers in Bellevue, Bainbridge Island, Issaquah, Federal Way, Kirkland and Lynnwood. For more information or to schedule an appointment, call (206) 625-7180.

Sleep Medicine Programs and Services
  • Sleep Testing
Many patients benefit from one or more "sleep tests" that allow objective measurements to be made about a person's sleep. These tests can be valuable for the proper diagnosis and management of sleep disorders. In addition to sleep tests conducted in the Hospital & Seattle Medical Center, we also offer home sleep testing, which may be appropriate for some patients. Learn more about sleep testing.

  • Insomnia Treatment Shared Medical Appointment (SMA)
Whether you are having difficulty falling asleep, staying asleep, or both, the Insomnia Treatment Shared Medical Appointment may be the non-medication, cognitive-behavioral approach you need for getting a good night's sleep. Learn more about insomnia SMAs.
  • Continuous Positive Airway Pressure (CPAP)
Virginia Mason's sleep medicine providers may recommend a CPAP after conducting a sleep study. A CPAP is a small electric pump that delivers pressurized air through a mask over your nose and is used to treat sleep apnea and other respiratory problems. Learn more about CPAP.
