Gastroenterologists — Our gastroenterologists use minimally invasive techniques to evaluate pancreatic cancer, deliver treatments and relieve painful symptoms. We are experts in endoscopy, a non-surgical approach that uses tiny instruments to take images of your cancer, remove tissue samples and carry treatment to tumors. We also use endoscopy to relieve pain by blocking nerves connected to the pancreas.

Radiation oncologists — Our radiation oncologists have seen hundreds of patients with pancreatic cancer. This experience helps us determine which radiation technique will be most effective for you, and often helps us shrink tumors so patients can become eligible for surgery.

Radiologists Virginia Mason’s radiologists use the latest technologies to diagnose, evaluate and monitor pancreatic cancer, including computed tomography (CT), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and positron emission tomography (PET). Our radiologists’ experience helps them know what to look for and explain what they see. This gives our team the information they need to plan your treatment, and to adapt as your body responds.
