If you are newly diagnosed or have a family member who is seeking treatment for cancer, you’ll want to find a cancer specialist who is a member of a comprehensive cancer center.
A cancer center offers expert care from a team of physicians and providers who are working together to ensure you receive the best treatment throughout your course of care.
Virginia Mason is one of the premier cancer centers in the nation. By choosing the Floyd & Delores Jones Cancer Institute in Seattle for your care, the world of cancer is defined by hope, healing and heroes.
Hope, because daily breakthroughs are gaining ground in the battle with cancer. Healing, because patients at Virginia Mason are receiving the best available treatments to help them fight cancer. And heroes, because our patients are facing cancer with courage and finding new reasons to live every day to the fullest.
Virginia Mason’s Floyd & Delores Jones Cancer Institute is accredited by The Joint Commission and the American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer (ACoS). The ACoS awarded the Cancer Institute a three-year accreditation in 2012.
The Virginia Mason Radiation Oncology Center recently became the second program in Washington state to earn accreditation from the American College of Radiology (ACR). This ACR accreditation represents the highest level of quality and patient safety in radiation oncology services. The Virginia Mason Radiation Oncology Center is one of only three programs in Washington, Alaska, Montana and Idaho to earn this accreditation.
