Down Syndrome Program
The Down Syndrome Program at Virginia Mason Franciscan Health is the first and only one of its kind in the Pacific Northwest. This unique program offers a wide range of services, including primary care for children and adults, health care maintenance, coordination of subspecialty needs, prenatal consultations and support through the entire life span.

Down Syndrome Program patient care is managed by Rebecca Partridge, MD and John Morrison, MD.
The Down Syndrome Program at Virginia Mason Franciscan Health is passionate about optimizing physical and mental wellness for all people with Down syndrome and celebrating their individual strengths. Typically, people with Down syndrome have a primary care provider and go to a separate Down syndrome clinic for health maintenance and specialty needs. By comparison, the Virginia Mason Franciscan Health program brings essential services into one convenient location. For families who live outside western Washington, we are pleased to offer consultative services.
Down Syndrome Program referrals
The Down Syndrome Program at Virginia Mason Franciscan Health welcomes referrals from primary care physicians as well as parents and caregivers. Primary care services are based in Issaquah and a limited number of patients can be seen in University Village in Seattle. Telehealth services are available for families residing in Washington and Idaho.
Our program collaborates with several specialists who are passionate about caring for people with Down Syndrome and who directly communicate with your primary care team. Radiology, laboratory, audiology, sleep medicine, nutrition and adult and pediatric ophthalmology are immediately available at the Issaquah medical center. Other services such as gynecology and podiatry are available within the Virginia Mason Franciscan Health system.
